Mystery Shopper Scam??

Hi, I sign up for mystery shopper two weeks ago. On Saturday I received a check for over 2500 dollars. They emailed me to go cash the check at my bank then go to western union and have it send to the next mystery shopper. I thought it was kinda suspicious so I looked it up on the internet and found a lot of articles about fraud and decided this might be a scam, so I told them that I wasn’t going to do it and then they sent me a email saying they were going to go to the FBI because I would be stealing from them if I didn’t go and do what they told me to do. So I told them that I was going to go to the police if they didn’t tell me which company they belong to or if they didn’t prove that they were legit. I don’t know if they were a scam or not so I was wondering what I should do about this?

It's a scam! The check is fake. Please read www.fakechecks.org and http://www.fraudwatchers.org/forums/..._western_union The last thing that you have to worry about is the scammers turning you in to the FBI, when the FBI is looking for them! Please post the emails the scammer sent you making sure to remove your personal information. Include the scammer's email address and any telephone number they used.
