Please help .. Is this a scam??

Hi I'm new to the forum and needing help/advice? I have applied for loans online to help with the cost of having a sensory/communication test done for my young son ... Today I received a call from a company called Cash Loans Bad Credit offering me the money I need at a reasonable rate but to access the money I must make the first months payment via something called Western Union and then the money will be in my account within 5 minutes of them confirming my payment to them which sounds a little dodgy to me ... The gentleman on the phone gave me loads of information that seemed genuine such as the address and phone number of the company plus a ref number but I'm still very wary as its money I really cant afford to lose ... Can anyone advise me on this please? .. Thanks in advance .. Sarah

It's a scam. 99% of the online loans you are going to receive will be scams! No legitimate loan company gives someone a loan with without a personal interview, a review all tax returns and W2 forms. No legit loan company requests any fees up front. Fees are deducted from the proceeds of the loan. Any request for payment to be made via Western Union is a scam. Please read: http://www.fraudwatchers.org/forums/..._western_union and http://antifraudintl.org/showthread.php?t=14134

Please post the phone number and email address of the scammer to warn others and the Western Union receiver information.

Scammers' offers are always tempting, that's how they get you interested in the first place. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it often is not. Thank you. Did they give you Western Union receiver information, i.e., who the person they wanted you to send the money to, please post that also.

Please post the details of the scam. Are they using another website as www.cashloansbadcredit.org.uk no longer exists. Please list the email address the scammer used, the Western Union or MoneyGram receiver information, any phone number, etc.

That number is part of the Skype 'Online' Number block. It is owned by Cable & Wireless. Basically it is a VoIP number that anyone in the world (with Skype) can have. I used to have one of those myself.
