Where To Do SGS test?
Dear sir,
I need To do SGS test in all department. But, he cannot do it. Read the mail. Practically he is telling truth or scam ?
==========================================================
We are Manufacturer specializing in Chemicals for many years.
I'm afraid we couldn't accept do SGS inspection at Loading port,Because waiting for the SGS inspection report need quite a long time. Before test result came in,the goods must lay in the warehouse of the park port,in the storage charges are very high every day. That would be an immense expense.Pls understand us.
For us to cooperate,as the following is our opinions, you could reference it.
1.You could do SGS inspection at the factory.Because this can save unnecessary spending.
2.Transport the container to the factory, then do sampling inspection.
3.If the inspection result satisfied to you, then sealing and shipping to the loading port goods.

SGS inspection could be done at the SGS warehouse, goods in on one side, payment proof on the other.
I do not know what kind of goods you are talking about ( see Mysteries comment) and if they are valuable, but I would never have sealing and shipping done from the factory, all risks of the transport will be for your account. (and even a switch of goods even if they were sealed).
If the seller substains SGS inspections report takes a long time it will take the same time while the goods are still in the hands of the seller, so I would suggest; this is a NO GO

SGS doesn't operate warehouses. They either do on-site testing or lab tests (REACH, RoHS etc.). There are also 100's of other QC testing companies.
Tests "at loading port" are not possible since that that is usually a closed area.
IMHO any inspection is OK since a real cheat won't have any goods to show. However, inspection costs are for the buyer.

You got it already....
You need to know what you need for YOUR country/market. REACH is mainly for US market. CE just for EU market.
SGS can do all sort of chemical testing. Others are TÜV, DNV, and maybe 100 more. Then there are more service companies that do pre-shipping inspections on what you want them to check.
Does that give you 100% safety? - NO. But it makes it much more difficult to get cheated.
If you do chemical trading you should consider to find one the China I/E Corporations. They are government owned. Their margins are low, but they can make sure that you get something. They are specially useful if the export is difficult (like when I did chemicals to Kazakhstan by rail).

If this company is doing chemical for many years, they should know SGS, and if it is chinese company, it is not expensive do SGS in China. Can you tell the company's name?
And always be 200% carefull to purchase chemical from China, as this is one of the biggest scam area.
