If they are actually in Canada, then it is not unusual to be using VoIP [ link] services. For example, I can obtain a phone number from many of the major countries of the world, but each would be answered by me sat here in a completely different country.

can complaint internet frauds here
Since the servers seem to be based in US, Internet frauds can be reported from here to the government.
http://www.usa.gov/Citizen/Topics/Internet_Fraud.shtml
this link too might be helpfull
http://www.elsop.com/wrc/complain.htm
Hope might help catch the culprits.
I received offer letter and was directed here from google. Thanks for the info guys.
Guys who already ended up paying the amount, can contact their banks to block this transaction, if you succeeded in identifying the fraud immediately.
Hope this helps some one.
thanks

I had too an offer from B&H and I completed my registration at B&H. They asked me for validation. Since I am not having a valid Credit Card, payment towards the quickvalidate.com delayed. But by using my friends Credit Card, I paid GBP14.95 and submitted by Credential's scanned copy at their site. If it is fraud, is there any posibility to get back my cash?
|
Your friend would need to contest the charges with his credit card company. Whether or not the money can be retrieved depends on whether he can prove to their satisfaction that the charge is fraudulent.
Yes, they're genuine, but as with any online payment service or service that has your credit card or personal information, the information there can be misused if someone gets unauthorized access. Also, read the Terms of Service to see what risks you are taking on yourself by using the service. It's better to do this BEFORE you sign up for an online service of any kind.

I created an account with paypal and linked my local bank (sbi) to this account. Since I am not having a Credit Card, with the help of my friend I transfered $40 to my account. Now my account became limited and I am unable to use these $37.54 ($2.46 they taken as transaction charge). Is there any way to cancel the transaction and hence I can give back the same to my friend. Is there any chance to mis use my and my friend's details including credit card by paypal. Paypal informed me that they won't share our card details to any third party while we are making payments. So is there any chance to get our card details to quickvalidate.com or any other parties. Can I believe paypal?
I am expecting a quick reply since I am panic about the crisis.
Thank you
|
How about asking Paypal whether the transaction can be reversed? Even if it can, they'll keep the transaction fee.
When used properly, as far as I know, your credit card number should not be revealed to the person receiving the money. But, again, if you have concerns, you should take them up with Paypal, not here. They're the ones selling you a service.

Brad And Harely
Hi ,
I am a victim of theirs , despite not replying to their mails, i kept recieving reminders to validate my credentials . on speaking to a Canadian Friend of mine i came to know that there was a Recruitment Agency known by this name and so thinking of this as a genuine offer i went ahead and validated my credentials which required an online payment. Failing to recieve any response however i serached the net and came across this site .i am convinced now that this agency is fraud!!!!!!!. So If you do get any mails with content as mentioned in the other postings pls pls report it and avoid any sort of transactions. Unfortunately i came across this site only now, but pls inform youre friends too. could someone advice what is likely to happen in such scenarios as credit card details have been shared . This is Urgent pls give me a solution immediately.

A reminder for future posters, read at least the posts that are visible on the page before asking a question. Chances are, your question has already been answered. In many cases, it's been answered several times. The answer to your question is in the post DIRECTLY ABOVE YOURS.
If you have given your credit card details to a scammer, you need to TALK TO THE ISSUER OF YOUR CREDIT CARD. If you feel you were charged for a service that wasn't provided, you need to TALK TO THE ISSUER OF YOUR CREDIT CARD. They will be able to advise you if you need to close the account and get a new one and how to dispute the charges.
If you have problem with a credit card involving a scammer or possible phishing of your credit card details, TALK TO THE ISSUER OF YOUR CREDIT CARD. Many times, they even have phone number on the back of the card itself, usually free to call.

This is a scam for sure. These guys are based in the USA and are making money indirectly by asking for credentials evaluation (GBP 14.95). I would suggest not paying a single penny to such guys so BEWARE everyone.

There's an entire thread of posts that say it's a scam. Ten pages worth, in fact. Reading just the posts on this page would have answered your question.
Posters, please READ the entire thread before posting a question that's already been answered.
