Hi,

It stinks of scam.

Any "job offer" that includes a start date less than a month away is either a scam or an extraordinarily arrogant and inconsiderate company. Whether you would want to work for someone like that is up to you...

What other contact information do you have for the company? Because, at the moment you have no way of identifying who sent you that email. Gmail is a free, anonymous email provider. No large company would use this... they would have their own email domain.

job offer is this a scam?.

Dear Robert
Thank you for your interest in our enterprise.
Further you'll find more detailed information concerning the offered job.

Poland Investments Inc. was established in 1998 having the roots in Poland. Since then we have expanded our business in most of the European countries. Now we are entering the USA metals market and we are at the point of recruiting representatives for our U.S customers. Poland Investments Inc. is dealing with financial operations concerning trade with certificates on metal. Namely, we purchase and sell certificates on metal.

As US representative your job will be to conclude deals with our US customers and help them throughout the trade process. For example, the client is interested in buying certificates on metal which are on sale in Poland. You’ll serve in the position of intermediate between client’s money and our company in Poland and your official duty will be to accomplish transactions. The reason of these transactions is to cover oversea transaction fees for our clients, so they pay the exact cost of the certificate and spare them of the discomfort related to the far-distance company. Poland Investments Inc. is not dealing with checks cashing, usually such companies are scam! All transactions are made via bank to bank wire transfers. This way we can protect you and us from frauds involving fake checks.

There is no need to analyze the metals market and deal with stocks and quotations, our managers will do it for you. So, you are not to search clients or contact with them (the managers will do it for you). We do not insist on special degree or experience. The first six months you will be trained by our coordinators, during that time your base salary will be 125K/Year. When the training is done you will have enough experience to perform this job by yourself, you'll get the base salary plus quarter award (refer to our employment agreement paragraph 5.2).

Note that you don't pay any fee to start working or at any stage of your job. This offer is for a part-time, home-based job, which means you are free to work out your own schedule. In average you'll need about 3-4 hours a day to perform your duties. The operations are carried out through Internet. The communication with our managers (training, interview, lists, etc.) is also realized via Internet and by phone. All applicants are interviewed by phone after signing the employment agreement (attached to this letter). This is made by our human resources department in order to avoid frauds and choose the right persons for the job.

Our employees can benefit from communicators and laptops (the models are determined at your choice on the interview with our managers). This is made in order to ease the communication process between managers and employees for a proper carrying out of the operations. Poland Investments Inc. assures medical insurance and $125,000 guaranteed annual salary. For MBA degree holders the salary is $250,000. The salary is paid monthly, for the first month; and biweekly further on, using the following money transfer systems - E-Gold, MoneyGram, Credit Card, Western Union, Bank wire transfer, etc.

We are seeking for seriously concerned with our business employees. If you feel that you are the right person for our company, proceed with signing the employment agreement (attached) so we can schedule your interview with our head managers. After the interview you will start working within 1 or 2 days.

You can leave me your contact details, I'll forward them to our Call-Centre, and someone will call you asap.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. We are looking forward to hear from you. Natalie Caldwell.

It's still a scam, even if they don't directly send you checks. Doing this job for real would mean you are committing the federal crime of money laundering on behalf of this company. In this case, the scammers may be going the extra mile and using a fake check to fund the bank transfer. The bank transfer goes through and the money appears to be in your account until the check bounces at the other end, which may take weeks or even months. Then the bank that issued the transfer claws the money back from your account and you're out the money.

In short the offer is pretty outlandish anyway. You're supposedly going to be trusted with thousands of dollars of a company's money and yet they're only going to interview you over the phone? No way. You get a guaranteed $125,000 a year for a completely unskilled job that just involves offering up your bank account and working part time from home? No way. And this unskilled job doubles your salary if you have an MBA? Hardly likely, given that the job description requires no market analysis or any other skills that an MBA presumably affords.

It's got to be a complete and total scam.

Thinking of getting a cat, dog or monkey?
Cashing a check and sending some or all of it back is never a good idea
Thinking of buying from a Chinese/Hong Kong seller? Have you done your homework?
