scam from kira modeling & promotions chicago, IL
II received a contact under my nrw contacts on my website for avon from feliciamoon2@gmail.com. I am glad I am skeptical. I asked many questions and although she had an answer for everything I wasn't comfortable giving out my information so I googled the companies name and found that this is a scam! Please be careful!

I spent several hours combing the past three campaigns for the items and to get her the best price and sent over product recommendations. She strung me on chatting about products... then today I got this:

I immediately told her no way, and chastised her for trying to scam me. I will not be cashing any check, and will be calling the police.

Damn, I already ordered the products, I hope I don't have a problem returning them. This sucks, because it was a good sale, and I was really happy about it.

I got the check and everything! Luckily I didn't cash and I didn't place the order because I knew something was fishy and I knew something was up!

Received a new contact message off my Avon website from goldiewilliams04@yahoo.com and after following up I got the below reply, which I've just read word for word in an earlier post. Ugh. I smelled a rat as soon as I saw this.

I plan to mark the message as spam and not even bother replying, but I'm forwarding it to my contacts w/Avon to make sure everyone bewares!

Scaming Avon Representatives
I am a fairly new Avon rep. I received the same email from someone stating they worked for a Modeling Agency and they would be in my city later this month for a photo shoot and they needed me to provide products. They then listed a long list of products along with the qty. They said they would send me the payment. I was just about to place the order when I had a thought to Google the name of agency she gave me, nothing came up, I Googled the phone number and this is what I found. I sure am glad I thought to look it up.

Hi Dear Colleagues

I am an AVON rep, recently I also receive a request for assistance of a suspect telling me that her credit card did not work, to order several avon products, such as perfumes, eau de toilet, Anew products and such. I did kept playing the game, answering her e-mails until I did my Investigation her name is Patricia Smith she states on her e-mail that she is currently out of the country in London UK. but she has a trustee in the states, which is a 23 year old kid with the name of Ryan Gorenflo, well to make the story short she stated to send me payment as a cashier check or money order, guess what I did received 2 checks for one thousand each and the order was only 300.00, I did several calls to this person as hse provided her phone number which is a CA phone number 831-205-3052, i have report the money orders to Money Gram, they are fake, good thing I did not deposit them, I did e-mail her back and told her that everything was very questionable she has not e mail me back since. May be because she is mad the she had expend 17.00 to send fake money orders. Just be careful.

You can see patterns that indicate that the scammers are using Yahoo exclusively, and they aren't even changing very much in their strategy. Avon scams
jeeplassie, there is something you can do about it. You can report it to the Internet Crime Complaint Center. Go to there website and file a complaint and they start an investigation. Also report it to Avon so they can warn other Representatives. Hope this helps.

I wanted her to send the remaining of the funds to my Daughter whose wedding is coming up this Month ending....I just don't know what to do cos i am totally confused,please ..may i know if my money will be safe with you when you get the payment?..will You be able to get the remaining of my money sent to my daughter after you might have deducted your amount for the item?....Because I need you to have the remaining money sent to my her as soon as you receive the payment so that she get get her wedding stuffs...
