Shirgem is a CHEATER

Shirgem is a fraud.
They wanted to buy injection molds for 1.2 million €. Nobody in the world buy such quantities at once without having to negotiate on prices.
They cheat with the notary fee. Agreements with notary fees are not common in China.

Please don´t make business with Shirgem. This is a CHEATER

Thumbs down Unsatisfactory Development

I have been monitoring this thread looking for something conclusive on Shirgem, but none of the original posters have followed up.

We have been given the same stories as the ones we have seen in this thread by Mr. Li to the last detail.

We registered our visit with the U.S. Embassy in China and the State Dept. and purchased our tickets to arrive in Shenzhen.

All of a sudden, 8 days before our departure, Mr. Li claims that he is leaving the Shirgem Company due to family sickness, apologizing that we will have to cancel our trip as he would not have time to meet with us.

We saw the signs, but decided to risk the travel funds to go and see this man.

If I were you, I would steer clear of this company unless you have the money to waste.

The real question is, "Why do they bother?" We think it is all about this up-front "Notarization Fee". Notarizations do not charge a percentage of the contract. That is usually a flat fee. This is an inflated charge and the only reason we can conclude that the Shirgem company exists.

I hope that this provides conclusive enough proof for anyone who is wondering about Shirgem. God knows we are a couple of P/O'd wholesalers right now.

Buyer beware!!!

HOW ABOUT THIS?

China Hainan National Grains & Oils Imp. &Exp. Co. Ltd.

We have just been contacted by this company which is in the same city and possibly on the same street with Shirgem. They also want to buy our product.
They also have a @163.com email like Qidong Li at Shirgem but their site has a regular looking email just like Shirgem...
we are still on the very basics of communication but I can't help but wonder if maybe they are also scammers and possibly related to Shirgem.
[size="5"]HOW ABOUT THAT?

I have posted a new thread on this company so if you know anything at all, please post it on this new thread.

Stay Well !

Li Qidong and many others alike

problem with china...

too many pocket miners (back packers) running around on the street and dress in business attires. they would rent and share one office.

how they work is...
they gather all the information you provide, and they search for buyers.
they do not have any buyers readily on hand at the time of contacting you. they will claim orders of whatever greatness to get you interested and get you to send them information (as detailed as possible)
they then take your information and claim to the buyers it's theirs, and they are your mandate.

the best way to solve this, is to ask these buyers to issue a proof of fund or swift MT799. only deal with the ones who are able to issue these.
but from my experience, they would all say "oh we are not allowed to issue these financial instruments since the gov. of china regulates them"... yea, a load of B/S.

We have had confirmations as well with Shenzhen Crownten

Were a log home manufacturer in Canada & the US, things just seemed to be to good!

They excepted quotes and as with many wanted us to come to China to sign!!! HUGE RED FLAG HERE

We have exported to Asia many times over the years and none of this added up. In our case someone looking to spend over 1.7mUS comes to 1 of our plants for tours and final negotiations and contract signings, not sight unseen, for custom made log homes or cabins

Thanks to many whom posted , we spoke to a close contact in Hong Kong whom also agreed this group capitalizes off the fee charged to have contracts notarized

I will close by saying we do business with others in China whom are excellent partners and people of their word

Best to all and thanks to the posts

Shenzhen Crownten Trading Co. LTD

Hi all,

one of our custumers received an inquiry from this company to sell beer to China. Seems the same procedure as explained by the posters here.

Luckily our customers are used to ask us for information whenever they receive unusual inquiries. So we asked the German Chamber of Commerce for information and they answered they didn't notice anything unusual about this company.

Guess why, when they are just 3 weeks old!!

Can I mail the Fraud Watcher's link to the German Chamber of Commerce so they can have all the informations available here and keep an eye on this company?

We advised our customer not to deal with them and not to waste time and hopes.

Cool Shirgem China Notary Fraud

I won't 'register' as unlikely to be back but having Googled 'Shirgem' would also like to add that we were very 'nearly' conned ourselves. Having taken the bait and visited them the 'Notary Fee' then raises it's head..........very unyielding bunch.........must pay Notary Fee or we cannot proceed......what..........on a EUR 500,000 deal you won't proceed for a couple of thousand EURO's? It's a scam. We will report this company (and more importantly its representatives) to our respective Embassies and anywhere else. These guys are small time con men and will/have set up another company now they have been rumbled. Hope they rot in a stinking Chinese jail when they get their collar's felt.............and if the Chinese authorities don't do something about them then shame on them given how China is trying to present itself now to western markets. Doesn't look good.......not at all!! Anyway Good luck all and well done to this forum for providing a platform to help others. No doubt you will have logged my IP location...no problem with that............just DO NOT send this company any money and even better DO NOT even bother visiting anyone over there if it all sounds too good to be true.................IF they are genuinely interested (as a previous poster said) THEY should want to come and visit YOU!!

Shenzhen Crownten Trading

We trade electric motors and transformers and were inquired for a large number of transformers by Shenzhen Crownten. But I as we had that game before by some other companies from China or Africa as well, I was aware what was to come. Sent them a one-line-fantasy-quote and they instantly agreed, whithout data-sheet or negotiation. I shortly confronted them with my accusation, flame-mailing a little and they answered, that they thought "Germans were nice, but I am not..." Guess why? So greed eats brain, folks. I once wasted much time on preparing data-sheets and offers and finally found out it is all big-order-hoax. Luckily lost no money, but precious time. Now I just play with these guys, when I feel like to. Thanks fraudwatchers!

A few weeks of emails of me sending them some finalization details and finally they were happy with all of the conditions and the materials to be used. Then we booked a ticket to Haikou in China. We arrived on the 14th of September and we were met by Harrison (a quite short guy who looks as in his 40's, has a leather portfolio in his hand and always has his shirt tucked in his trousers) and Kimmy (a girl who speaks quite fluent English, in her 20's, wears a dress and purple tinted glasses) who then took us to the Meritus Mandarin Hotel in Haikou. We checked in went up to our rooms and then we decided that we are very tired from the travel and if we can rearrange the meeting the next day. The next morning we had the meeting in the hotel restaurant area, we finalized some of the details with harrison who seemed to understand all of the technical drawings and was questioning for various things (this didn't raise any suspicion because he was asking questions about this and that, as if he would have been a scammer they would have wanted to finalize quicker and get the notarization fees paid) Then the second day we also met in the hotel to finalize the other details of the contract and there were also a lot of questions about guarantee and shipment terms and seemed to be all fine. The third day we went to the offices and they were at the 36 Longkun road on the 13th floor. The offices had about 15 workers which is the number that Harrison told us beforehand, and then we met the big boss who was away for the week and had come back to sign the contract. We all signed the contract and all was well. Then we had to pay the notarization fees (they explained that it is not a traditional notarization as we thought, how can a notary certify that we both signed the contract if we weren't going t be there, but they said that the government notary firstly checks both companies and then issues a certificate that both companies are legit and also the notary makes sure that the contract terms are fulfilled) the fee was 0.7% from the contract amount, and they were going to pay half of that amount. As being defensive we only paid a part of the money saying that the UK bank needs to see the notarization certificate before it can release the rest of the money. As we had to go back to our hotel room to get the money they didn't have a receipt for us to have so they agreed to bring it the next day when they were taking us around shopping. They did bring the receipt and took us shopping on the next day which was a Saturday. (this was a major trust for us as if it was a scammer they would have probably be long gone and wouldn't even bother to come and meet us the next day.)

We have now received a copy of the notarization certificate but it is in Chinese so I need to find somewhere where I could check it.

Altogether they didn't raise major suspicion about themselves and the company and they didn't ask us to buy a hugely expensive present for the CEO of the company, but if they are scammers then I have pictures of all f the people I dealt with, including the boss.

The bank details they sent us were:
Bank Information

Bank Name: Bank of China , Baoan Sub-branch, Shenzhen

Account Number: 601 382 200 060 174 8091

Payee: Zheng Xu Jia

Swift Code: BKCHCNBJ45A

Add.: No.54 Jiananyi Road , District 4, Baoan, Shenzhen , Guangdong , China .

If anyone who could help with the translation of the notary certificate then please do.

Thank you
Best regards Martin
