Hi there all
Having done business in China for over 10 years and never been cheated so far I would like to give you the following advice: If it sounds too good to be true it most probably is!

There are plenty of Chinese companies who do business seriously and plenty of honest Chinese people, I can promis you, non of them will ever ask you to pay 50% for notary fees or other legal fees.
Serious Chinese business people are generours and would never ask for some payment of this kind. Take my word for it.

So they want to cheat on you, so you should pay another US$ 3,000, because all operations that they calculated is around US$ 1 million, so they say there's a notarization fee. So they ask you for this money and they think nobody will come back to Haikou and spend another US$ 3 thousand. Their office is a garbage, the building lift is like a cargo lift, Mitsubishi, but with woods on the walls. I have been personally to the Haikou Notary Office and the Officers said: "No one knows this company and DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITH THEM". I said to Man Shani to go with me to the Notary Office, few blocks from the hotel and she was so angry and said: No, I'm not going, this is not the company procedure...They think we brazilians are stupid, as I can see other companies from Brazil has been contacted by them. So, Brazilian Companies, please do not lose your time and money. I lost with my air ticket, hotel, foods and of course my precious time. Also, I saw rats coming and going out inside the Hotel's Lobby and no one there is worried about it.

Please see pictures of the translator Jenny and in the back of it Man Shani.

Again: Don't pay anything to them!!!!!

FRAUD HAIKOU - LI QIDONG, ETERNAL WAY

We went in Haikou contacted by Mr. Li Qidong, Eternal Way International, all is a fraud!!!! They asked us to bring samples with us and pay Notarization fees and money gifts. As in all the cases, Li Qidong was always with a 20 years old girl who was his traslator. We visited the office of the company that was a garbage!!! He talked about a contract of 1 million in 1 year. In the office there were two gilrs more one of 23 years old and other woman of 40 years old. Also we knew the "General Manager" Mr. Zhang a man of 50 years old. Everything was very weird because they checked each sample but when we asked them about the exportation they even knew where was our country. Other red flag was when one of the girls started to ask us about the gifts and notarization fees... She said the all must be in cash!!! They were very insistent about the money so we knew that the business was no true. They took the samples but the next day we called them and asked them bring back all the samples. We said them that our layers were not agreed with all the procedure, I think this scared them a little bit. On the phone one of the girls tried to convence us to sign the contract and only give the gifts and that we could do the notarization in our country!!.

Finally, we got back our samples and they didn't have any dolar from us. But we espent the fly tickets, hotel, transport, food and time!! Be careful please because we know now that in Hong Kong is very easy to make a company as a legal one, but these people use it to do fraud business. Eternal Way International is a SILVER MEMBER!! in tradekey, but this not means that you can trust it.

Our company have offices in Canada and Ecuador in South America so be careful, because they maybe try to contact more companies in these countries!!!

Jeff4404,

How did they come into contact with you? Is their order based on terms that are more favourable than the current market? Do they have a website, telephone number and email addresses?

Kunming Bei Zhao Trading Co.

It seems that Kunming BeiZhao Trading Co. "earns" its money by collection of various charges and fees:

- for invitation letters for the Seller to visit China and sign the contract
- "notarization fee"
- "bank charges" for payment transfer, etc.

The goods they are going to "purchase" and the contract sum plays absolutely no role for them.

Thumbs down WE HAVE BEEN VICTIMS

Hello,
Is this company a scammer ?

We have been approached by this company in the month of April 2011. They have specified technical drawings which make us believe that they are genuine buyers. Then after a month long communication and negotiations they sent us an invitation letter (required by the Chinese Consulate foe applying for a visa). We applied for two visas bases on these letter of invitation. We land up in China at their office to sign official contract. The contract was negotiated and they put forth a demand for margin money as advance as they need to provide this information to the Chinese government to notorise the contract documents. They even wanted us to share the notarisation fees but did not agree saying that we'll be notarising it in India and they'll have to share that fees.

We have transferred from India an amount of USD 8,280 to their company against quality margin as specified in the contract. E-mail correspondence continued till 9th June 2011. They made one more request that in order to transfer the advance payment to India, they have spent a certain amount to bribe the bank officials and hence this bribe money has to be shared. We point blank refused to share that amount.Thereafter, on their due date of 5th June, they requested a delay of five days and assured us the advance will be transfered on 10th June. On reminding them on the 9th, they replied that due to Dragon Boat Festival the remittance of contract amount advance is delayed and the same will be done by June 15th. Thereafter there is no further email from them. No reply to our emails sent to them. Then the mobile numbers are also switched off and the land lines are just blank.
During our visit to their office, they had produced certificates of registration of their company (unfortunately in Chinese) and also certificates of taxes paid (also in Chinese). We took some photographs of Mr Li LiGang, the general Manager of the company and also Ms Yang his Secretary-cum-interpretor. We would like to initiate action against this kind of scammers to ensure others are not duped like us.

Dhritimon
